On August 8, 2022, China's first pure electric 120TEU river container ship which was built by our company for Jiangsu Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd. was successfully launched.
This ship which was designed by Wuhan Yangtze River Ship Design Institute Co., Ltd. is powered by pure batteries, and it have a high safety lithium iron phosphate battery as energy carrier, container battery as power source, equipped with three 20-foot container batteries, the use of "plug and pull" mode of electric change, can achieve zero emissions throughout the voyage. This ship directional development based on the characteristics of the grand canal navigation, after putting-in-service proactively to sailing in suzhou Yang ling tong, park between high xingang port, founder, is mainly used in sunan canal section of container transport, accord with standard of three-level channel navigation canal, container loading capacity is the largest container ship in pure battery electric power.
This ship is a key project of scientific and technological innovation of Jiangsu Port Group. It is also another powerful measure to accelerate the development of green port and navigation in our province and help realize the "double carbon" goal.
