On March 8th 2013, two 8200HP ASD tugs named “Huan Yu 3” and “Huan Yu 6”was successfully delivered to Tsingdao Port Co., Ltd. Both of them are the largest powerful and advanced ASD tugs in Asia. They are featured by a towing tension of 96 tons, astern bollard pull of 90 tons and a sailing speed of 14.15 knots. Surpassed the standard requirement from specifications, all their main technologies like stability and noise-controlled capability have met the standard. The delivery proves the ability of research and development of Zhenjiang Shipyard and the company’s intellectual property rights. Now, the success of the tugs broke a record in terms of ships with largest power. This project of Zhenjiang Shipyard has created a new “First in China”.
